My Personal Path

A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor

I offer some of my own particular experiences and qualities I now feel have been components for developing my purpose.

COACHING

When I connect all the dots of my own life - my interests, skills, talents, and experiences - I believe they align perfectly with a profession for coaching courageous souls ready to take authorship of their life story.  Editing characters in film, parenting, and the Master's in spiritual psychology helped me sharpen my focus.

When coaching, we create a relationship to explore a client’s dots. Within the safety of the relationship, possibilities are revealed, and ownership is achieved.

CREATIVE EXPRESSION

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Trinity College and chose film editing as my artistic expression. Creating and adapting storylines with complex characters in both fiction movies and non-fiction television fed my curiosity for how people think, behave, and react in various situations.  In the cutting room, I could underscore unique character habits with a glance, and enhance traits or idiosyncrasies at will.  I could heighten the plotline, explode the climax, and dramatize the complexity of the story’s resolution while manipulating the emotion with music … it’s psychology, sociology, internal and external struggle and resolve; it’s life’s entrapments and the discovery of personal liberation! The editing room was a petri dish of learning about the Human experience, or at least mine, preparing me to coach others uncovering their life’s learnings.

When you look from the sky down at your life's path, do you see the dots aligning?

LIfe Altering circumstances

Both the loss of a loved one and divorce redirected my life unexpectedly. Had I known at the time there were coaches who could guide and support me through those transitions, I might have navigated both experiences differently, more honorably for all concerned. I learned what I learned when I learned it, and not before. In hindsight, I’m grateful for the process of forgiveness, freeing myself of shame or any residual upset; a kind of internal liberation. Forgiveness is the balm to the parts inside still hurting.

Are you offering forgiveness to your younger self?

Serving others to see themselves

I believe our innate wisdom, or our spiritual knowing, lies underneath the activity of a brilliant mind, survival emotions, and the aches and pains of the body.  No one can offer advice for your decisions; your inner knowing has them already. Coaching questions give you the space to discover what you already know, while in safe company.

What will your legacy be?
